I have received several emails from ladies (and one gent) on how to order from Joy using Western Union so I decided it might be helpful to make a post about it.
If you have never shopped with Joy before you'll need to sign up for an account. It's a quick and simple process.
Click on the "My Account" tab on the top Right hand corner (see screen shot below)
Click on "Continue" button shown below. And on the next page fill in your account info. You should be able to log in instantly afterwards but I signed up 2 years ago so I'm not sure if she's changed this part to approve new accounts or not. I'll check with Joy and update this part when I find out.
Add items to your cart as you would any other shopping site. You can do this one of 2 ways. You can click the "Add to Cart" button above the desired product thumbnail (shown below). Or you can click on the thumbnail picture first to see the product detail and then click the "Add to Cart" button there.
Each time you click "Add to Cart" the next screen will show your shopping cart (see below). From here you can either click the 'Continue Shopping" or simply click the back button on your browser. I prefer using the back button so I can go back to the page I started from. If you click the "Continue Shopping" button it will take you back to the home page.
When you're ready to check out click the "Checkout" button from above. And follow the instructions to complete your purchase.
After you submit and confirm your order you will get an Online Invoice which shows what you purchased, total amount due including shipping and Instructions on how to pay.
The instructions will include Western Union payment info. Basically all you really need is the recipient's First and Last Name, Total Amount Due and the Country (China). The recipient's full address is provided but I have never had to use this. As long as you make sure to put China as the country the recipient can pick up the funds anywhere in China.
I suggest that you PRINT this page out. You will also get an auto email with the same info so you can print the email if you prefer. OR if you forgot to print this page and you don't have the email simply sign into your account and click on "Order History". From there you can click on the appropriate Order # and you'll be able to retrieve this info there.
Take what you printed and go to your local grocery store (i.e. Kroger, Publix, etc.) or anywhere that offers Western Union services. You can pay with Cash or Debit Cards. You CANNOT pay with Credit Cards in person. You can pay with credit card via the Western Union website though I STRONGLY suggest that you NOT do this and I'll explain why at the end of this post.
Western Union charges a fee for sending money so if you're paying with cash make sure you bring enough to cover the fee. Also the fee varies depending on the amount sent, where you are and where you're sending to. It's usually between $12-$18.
TIP: Make sure you select "Cash in Minutes" which is the only method that allows the recipient to pick up the funds immediately. If you select any of the other options the funds are not available until it is processed which may take up to another week and would further delay your package.
After you've paid you will get a receipt which contains the "MTCN #". Email this # to Joy or someone on her team. Joy's email is firstname.lastname@example.org. And that's it for your part.
You will receive an email when your order status is updated. There are a minimum of 3 updates which are outlined below.
When you first submit an order online your status will say "Pending WesternUnion/MoneyGram".
After you've sent the MTCN # your status will change to "Preparing Shipment".
And once your order has shipped it will change to "Full Order Shipped". At this point a tracking # will be included. It is usually an EMS Tracking #.
You can track your order via the EMS site at http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html or USPS at www.usps.com.
If you do not receive an email with updates you can always log into your account to check your order status.
The Waiting Game
Joy and her team are very busy and they're understaffed so please be patient. I can't stress this enough so again PLEASE BE PATIENT!!!
Usually your order will ship within 2-3 business days but it may take longer depending on certain things. Emailing her everyday asking where your order is from the first day is not going to make it arrive any faster and will bog down her email so please be respectful and only do so if it has been more than a week and you've still not received a tracking #.
Here are just a few things you should know that will help you understand what they go through to process your order.
First she has to check to make sure the item(s) you ordered are in stock.
Please keep in mind that Joy only keeps a limited amount of inventory on hand so if the item is not in stock (which is usually the case) she (or her team) has to contact the manufacturer/warehouse and wait to hear back from them before proceeding and they do not always respond quickly.
Once she confirms with the warehouse the item is in stock she will pick up the funds from Western Union. Your payment is NOT picked up until this is confirmed. That way should your item be out of stock you can get your money back through Western Union.
She will then order the item(s) and upon receipt check them carefully for quality issues before packing it up for shipping.
So the entire process from the time you ordered to the day it is delivered to your doorstep could take anywhere from 1-3 weeks. My orders usually arrive within a week after I receive tracking however if it gets turned over to Customs it may sit there for a time before it is released to go forward.
When ordering replica there is always a chance your order will be seized but it has never happened in the 2 years I have been buying replicas and I've bought from many sellers.
My order was turned over to the US Customs only once and it sat there for a week before it was released. I had 4 or 5 bags at that time and thought for sure it would be seized so I was really surprised when they let it through.
When I received my package it was very obvious the box had been opened and the contents searched because the bubble wraps and packaging plastic/papers were all torn.
This leads me to believe that Customs is only interested in the big fish. If you're ordering tons than there's a higher chance your order will be seized if it gets turned over to Customs. This doesn't mean it never happens to the small orders only that you have a better chance.
And now I will explain why I DO NOT recommend using a credit card to pay either through the Western Union website or over the phone. Below are 2 reasons why you should avoid this.
1) The fee is higher for online payment with credit card. It was $34.00 for me so more than twice what it cost for me to pay at my local grocery store with cash or debit card.
2) Several of my readers had major problems paying online. Their bank marked the purchase as Fraud and in some cases their account was closed or suspended and it took days (almost 2 weeks for one person) to get this cleared up. I did not have this issue myself but I alerted my bank of the purchase ahead of time. However the process took longer and was a huge hassle so I will never do that again!
